An excellent essay on social media by +<\/span>Stephen Baker<\/a><\/span> is attached. Our ability to communicate is a critical 21st century skill. This is certainly true in mathematics as well. I always remind my students, "obtaining an answer is not our only goal, we must communicate to others how we solved the problem!" So often I receive assignments that are totally unreadable — answers magically circled somewhere in the middle of a sea of scratch calculations. Would your future project manager approve of that?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
